Peterborough Town Hall
Built in 1918, the Peterborough Town House is a fine example of Colonial Revival architecture, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In preparation for the building’s centennial celebration, the Town of Peterborough engaged the services of Scully Architects to write a Historic Building Assessment report and provide some schematic designs to address accessibility issues and improvements to the Auditorium. The report documents the existing conditions of the entire building, interior and exterior. It also includes specific recommendations for needed repairs and updates, and cost estimates for that work. That information was used to generate a warrant article for the 2017 Town Meeting so that work can be completed in time for the landmark building’s 100th birthday. The report was partially funded by an LCHIP grant.
