Renovations of 40 Avon Street for Monadnock Family Services.

Monadnock Family Services purchased 40 Avon Street in Keene, NH in 2022 from Antioch New England University. MFS’s goal is to consolidate services currently located in several buildings around Keene into one more efficient and central location. Antioch New England University will remain on the second floor of this building. Scully Architects worked with MFS to develop design and construction drawings to renovate the 44,000 square foot first floor to accommodate MFS’s Medical Services, Children Services and Adult Services. The exterior insulation finish system (EIFS) is being renovated and additional insulation is being added to most of the exterior of the building. Scully Architects worked with interior design firm Stebler Associates to refine space planning and furniture needs. Design Day Mechanical are the HVAC and plumbing consulting engineers and Russ Downing is the electrical engineer on the project.

Ingram Construction was selected as the construction manager early in the process. They have been providing assistance to the team in cost estimating, scheduling and navigating the construction realities of the Covid and post-Covid. Exterior construction work started in late summer and interior work will be starting later this fall. Scully Architects will provide construction administration services through completion of renovations in late spring of 2023.
